Q-marathon in association with Conjura 12 on 22nd January 2012

Q marathon is an initiative to make people aware about how waste accumulation affects the environment, habitations, and our ecology. Effective handling of solid waste is possible, if proper segregation takes place at the collection stage itself. For this, bio-degradable and non-bio degradable solid waste should be collected separately. The mixing of bio-degradable and non-bio degradable solid waste creates impediment in their proper management. We are trying to find an economical and environmentally sustainable solution for waste disposal and treatment in the city by conducting panel discussions, cleaning programs, distribution of pamphlets, conducting studies about problems of waste disposal in kollam city. The intention of this marathon race from Neendakara to Kollam is to make people aware about the gravity of the problem and the need for sustainable solutions.

Yes! Humans are playing the heroic role of Robinhood as they loot and exploit the richness of the earth and use it for the so called betterment of life.

It all started off way back in the 11th century. It was the Latins who first named them. They called them ‘the Ingeniators’ or rather the ‘ingenious ones’.The members of this species started dwindling in number at an unbelievable pace and no geographic limitations posed a problem to them. Then came the Renaissance which played host to one of the best known Ingeniators of all time”-Leonardo Da Vinci.

Today 10 centuries have passed and if we were to point out the man made things around us, be it a pulley, a lever, a hydraulic lift, an auto-mobile engine, an air craft or an AK 47,it is seen that all of them have one thing in common-the magical hands and an incredible brain of an Ingeniator ,who today is better known as an Engineer ,is undoubtedly there behind each and every such creations.

Conjura '10 workshop, needs ur help friends...

Friends,
As we are nearing to the next episode of the first ever Combined National Technical Symposium organised in the college campus, The Conjura'10, we need a lot of hard work from our batchmates.

We have already started the Publicity works for the same and as a part of it we have decided to publish a website at the earliest. I request you all to come up with some ideas like a theme for the event, views, event names, etc..
